What type of senior living community is The Trousdale?
The Trousdale is an independent living and assisted living community designed to support older adults manage the daily details of life. With assisted living on-site, residents can seamlessly transition to higher levels of care should their needs ever change, while maintaining the relationships they’ve formed within the community.
What is included in the monthly fee?
The monthly fee includes a flexible dining program, 24-hour responsive staff, onsite administrative services, scheduled transportation, weekly housekeeping and linen service, building and landscape maintenance, utilities (including water, heat, Wi-Fi internet, air conditioning, electricity and trash removal), use of all common areas and a variety of recreational, social and cultural opportunities. The monthly fees are based on single or double occupancy and residence size.
Will the monthly fees increase over time?
Monthly fees are a function of operating costs and may increase, just as living expenses can increase while living in your own home. All fees are assessed to maintain the quality of The Trousdale through prudent management.
How does pricing change if I need more care later?
The Resident Care Director will conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine the appropriate Level of Care for each resident, ranging from Level 1 (minimal assistance) to Level 4 (comprehensive support). Each care level corresponds to different monthly fees based on the services and support provided, ensuring residents only pay for the care they actually need.
What health insurance is required to live at The Trousdale?
You must be enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B or have equivalent coverage that meets the community requirements for hospitals, physicians, medications and other acute care services. A Medicare supplemental policy is also encouraged. Your sales counselor can discuss your individual situation with you.
What size living spaces are available?
The Trousdale offers a variety of floor plan options, allowing you to choose from studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom options.
Can I bring my own furniture and personal belongings?
Absolutely! As long as your items do not pose any safety risks, we encourage you to bring personal belongings to feel at home.
Are pets allowed at The Trousdale?
Yes. Our pet-friendly community features a dedicated on-site dog park for daily exercise and socialization.
How many meals are provided daily?
Your monthly fee includes all meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—plus complimentary fresh fruit and snacks available in between meals.
Can I eat meals in my room?
Yes, you have complete flexibility with your dining. You're always encouraged to join the community in our dining room, but meals can also be delivered to your room by our staff, or you can prepare your own using your in-unit kitchenette.
Is there 24-hour staff availability?
Yes, there is responsive staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How do you help new residents make friends?
The Trousdale has a busy calendar of activities, entertainment, events and educational enrichment where it is easy to make friends. Aside from these opportunities for connection, we host New Resident Socials to introduce newcomers in a relaxed environment. Once you’re settled in, we encourage new residents to be guest of honor at their Housewarming Party, where they can invite family and friends over to check out the community and enjoy a complimentary meal in the private dining room.
What is your emergency response system?
Every residence is equipped with emergency call buttons for immediate assistance. We also offer wearable emergency call pendants for residents who may have mobility concerns or prefer the security of portable help access. In the event of a larger emergency requiring evacuation, we have a comprehensive emergency plan that includes safe relocation procedures and immediate notification of family members and emergency contacts.
What are your visiting hours and policies?
Your guests are permitted to visit at any time, as long as they sign in at the front desk with the receptionist.
